The 2026 Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate distinction, while not an endorsement, is a signal to our supporters, volunteers and voters across the country that a candidate advocates for gun violence prevention and will govern with gun safety in mind.

FairVote Minnesota is awarding the 2026 RCV Democracy Champion Badge to candidates who support the current RCV local options legislation, allowing more local jurisdictions to adopt RCV if they choose, as well as to those who support the future adoption of RCV for state and federal elections.

I am writing in support of Karla Hult's candidacy for the Minnesota Senate from District 50. 

The first time I met Karla I realized she was a woman of great substance, passionate commitments, and an intellect as big as her heart. My respect for her has only deepened over time.  From supporting the journeys of family members with Alzheimer's to advocacy on behalf of underserved and marginalized communities, Karla sees everyone she meets as a neighbor and all of us as her community.
